The final season of the show is going to be the eighth season of My Hero Academia. Rumors about the final season were already popping up even before the latest season was completed, but the release window has now been confirmed, and fans now know when they will have to bid adieu to Deku, All Might, and other characters they love from this shonen anime.
For those who keep up to date with the series, it is fairly obvious that the air surrounding season 8 is one of finality, especially with major character deaths occurring in the most recent seasons. In anticipation of the final season, we’ve compiled a quick guide that includes the expected release date, number of episodes, manga chapters that it will cover, and the first teaser trailer.
My Hero Academia season 8: Rumors of the date of its release
The eighth season of the series, My Hero Academia, will be in 2025, as announced after the last episode of the seventh season, in October. The date of the exact release has not been declared yet, but two possible windows have been announced for the final season.
The first option is spring 2025, which overlaps with the widely expected Spring anime season. If this rumor about the short-season is true, then probably it will be ready this time.
However, the most probable release date is going to be in October 2025, when the traditional Fall anime season will have begun. That will also give Studio Bones more time to ensure the final season meets the more heightened expectations of the conclusion for My Hero Academia.
Storyline of My Hero Academia Season 8: Adaptation of Manga Chapters
Season 8 will follow off from where season 7 left, adapting the rest of the Final War arc (chapters 398 through 424 of the manga by Kohei Horikoshi), and ending with the Epilogue arc (chapters 425 through 430).
This discussion will not contain any spoilers so as to preserve it for the viewers who do not yet engage with the source material. The Final War arc unmistakably shows that a confrontation between heroes in Deku and All Might and villains Shigaraki and All For One is at hand.
Recent events saw notable character departures, such as Toga’s brave act of self-sacrifice for the sake of saving Ochako through using her Quirk for a blood transfusion. The fight between All Might and All For One continues, and All Might is now at the better side of things; however, the persistence of All For One is continually giving him grief. Meanwhile, Deku is having his final crucial battle against Shigaraki, trying to get an upper hand in the battle.
Thus, the eighth season of My Hero Academia hosts the climax where heroes, particularly Class 1-A heroes, will face Paranormal Liberation Front, in which the world will hang in suspense like a pendulum.
Season 8 Episodes of My Hero Academia
There has been no official word about the number of episodes in season eight; however, from what remains of the manga chapters one can estimate. Assuming there are some 30 chapters left to adapt and knowing that previous seasons averaged three manga chapters per episode, a reasonable expectation would be around 13 episodes to wrap things up.
It is likely that some of the original anime material will also be incorporated to develop key characters and their final arcs. Specifically, this episode count would parallel that of the first season of My Hero Academia, which launched in 2016.
Where to Stream My Hero Academia Season 8
No announcement on a broadcasting platform for the new season of My Hero Academia has been made yet. However, it is almost confirmed to be on Crunchyroll-an anime streaming website because its previous seasons have been very trendy there.

Till now, the only two major promotional releases for the My Hero Academia season 8 are teaser trailer, and key visual artwork. The teaser is a short 40-second clip announcing that it is the final season and also shows Deku preparing for the final battle, battle-worn. The audience will be expecting the main cast from the previous series, where Daiki Yamashita is going to voice Deku, Kenta Miyake All Might, Akio Otsuka All For One, and Koki Uchiyama Shigaraki. Kenji Nagasaki will also play the role of chief director while Naomi Nakayama is tasked with supervising the direction at Studio Bones.
